That You Never Knew You Needed

Shows are back and if your calendar is jam packed this year with different festivals and events, we got you the perfect packing list! Whether you’re a first time raver or just want some new ideas for your trips, it doesn’t hurt to have a checklist so that you can be prepared for whatever adventure awaits. Below we have compiled a list of camping fest necessities and favorite hacks from our followers and the Clutch Crew. If you are one of those rave moms, this list is especially great for you and your group to be safe and prepared while having the time of your lives. Read below for Clutch’s packing tips and tricks.

Clothes and Fun: Of course you can’t forget to bring your festival fits that you’ve been planning for weeks! Just be mentally prepared to get things a bit dirty or messed up. Make sure to pack extra clothes for emergencies or if it rains so you will have dry clothes to change into, socks especially! Long sleeves are sometimes a smart idea if you get super sunburnt. It’s also a good idea to bring comfy shoes for when you get blisters or are super sore from standing all day. When dealing with making sure your phone is safe, The Clutch Strap is the best sidekick for events and makes sure your phone is always on you and ready for pictures.

  • CLUTCH STRAP! (so your phone is safe and secure while your hands are free)
  • Extra Clutch Clips, just in case things get wild or your friend wants to borrow a Strap!
  • Fanny pack/ utility belt
  • Makeup/ body paint/ glitter/ jewels
  • Disco Ball/ skylight
  • Bandanas
  • Sunglasses
  • Raincoat
  • Backpack
  • Hula hoop
  • Glow sticks
  • Playing cards
  • Small instruments
  • Frisbee/ ball

Camp: Your camp is your home for the duration of your event and you want to make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable so you can have a place to relax at the end of the day. With everything on this list, you will be glamping instead of camping, but you will have the best camp to come back to.

  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag/air mattress
  • Extra Blankets
  • Tarp
  • Lantern
  • Small Generator
  • Tent Fan
  • Speaker
  • Portable charger
  • Sunscreen
  • Flag/ totem (to help find tent and friends)
  • Water bottle/ Hydration pack and jugs of water (stay hydrated kids)
  • Trash bags
  • Fold out table

Food and Cooking: Try to pack things to snack on as well as meals that can be easily prepared with limited supplies. Chips, sandwiches, soups, and granola bars are always go-to’s. Ice will be expensive, so it’s always a good idea to try and bring as much as you can.

  • Cooler
  • Camping stove and gas
  • Cups, plates, silverware (Pack reusable and be sustainable!)
  • ICE (try to fit as much as possible and save about half a bag to use for drinks)
  • Condiments
  • Shot glasses/flasks (no glass liquor bottles are allowed)
  • Coffee/tea

Toiletries: Staying clean and smelling good is definitely hard when you’re dancing and partying all day, so you definitely need to make sure you don’t forget to pack any of the items below!

  • Travel shampoo/conditioner/body wash
  • Deodorant
  • TOILET PAPER
  • Hand sanitizer
  • BABY WIPES (there are not always convenient showers available so if you refill jugs of water you can use these to brush your teeth and hair. Baby wipes can help you stay clean throughout the day)
  • Towel
  • Toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash
  • Hairbrush
  • Pain medicine
  • Face wipes
  • Razors
  • Lotion/Vaseline
  • First aid kit

We hope this helps get you ready to have a blast this summer! We love to see our customers sporting their Clutch Straps at events, so be sure to share with us any pictures you take with the hashtag #thatsclutch. Thanks for reading this month’s blog and we hope you have safe travels and make plenty of memories this summer!
